“…so that you may be constrained to practice charity towards one another….I have willed that one should need another and that all should be my ministers in distributing the graces and gifts they have received from me.” ~ St. Catherine of Siena, Dial. I,7.
The holidays may be especially challenging for families facing financial difficulties. The Social Ministry Department, through the assistance of generous parishioners, pairs donor families with recipient families to ensure that each member of the recipient family receives a gift at Christmas.
Donor families receive the “wish lists” from recipient families and go Christmas shopping for each member of the recipient family. The donor family also has the option of purchasing gift certificates for the family.
Pairing is done anonymously so no one knows the identity of the giver or recipient.
The Circle of Giving is a program filled with joy and gratitude! If you are interested in registering to either receive help or to give help, or you need more information about this program, please contact a member of the Social Ministry Department at 651-429-5337.
